Spelt rice pudding

Ingredients for 2-3 servings:

  • 145 g spelt rice pudding ready mix unsweetened
  • 500 ml milk or milk substitute (e.g. oat milk, almond milk or rice milk)

Preparation:

  1. Boil 500 ml of milk with a pinch of salt in a saucepan.
  2. Add the rice pudding mixture and simmer until it reaches a creamy consistency (approx. 20 minutes), stirring frequently.
  3. Then cover and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Garnish as desired and sweeten if necessary.

Tip:

Refine the rice pudding with fresh fruit, nuts, honey, jam or sprinkle some cocoa on top. You will love it - and so will your children!

Enjoy this Austrian delicacy for breakfast , as a main course , dessert or in between meals.

A light and regional speciality as a substitute for normal long grain rice pudding, easy to prepare and without the addition of sugar!

What’s special about this rice pudding:

The main ingredient is ORGANIC SPELT from our own farm and processing. Unlike normal spelt rice, this one for rice pudding is specially double-milled so that it can be prepared with milk (simmer) and is ready in around 20 minutes .
